Triac Driver Board includes a floating 5 Volt power supply for Triac Gate Drive, opto-isolation for Gate Drive Signalling, an AC Main Zero-Crossing Detection (which is also opto-isolated), a power supply for the Pulse Regulator; which indirectly powers the Arduino, the display, and the shield boards. Zero Cross detection is deliberately “half-wave,” due to half-wave rectification in the high voltage section. Zero Cross Detection isn’t used by the current code.
